Well if you've read my previous previous post where I mentioned my sister's birthday, you should probably have gotten a rough idea what happen
This is one place where I WILL NEVER EVER STEP FOOT INTO FOR ANY LUNCH OR DINNER.
Why?
Simply because of the utterly HORRID service they provided.
I'm not going to lie here and bitch about how bad their food are because to be honest, they are not bad. I'd say their food is pretty satisfying although a little pricey if not for the current 50% promotion.
Where is this you ask?
SBV in Metroprima. Just right beside Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant.
See, my Mum saw a brochure before that had their restaurant advertised in it. SBV i mean. Not Daorae. It was stated that there was this promotion of 50%.

So we were pretty much wondering why would a restaurant be as to so generous to offer 50% but there was no explanation or written terms there. See! Another thing to hate.
I simply hate it when you try to make a potential customer get fooled by just pasting a huge 50% but no written terms were stated at the advertisement. It's plain deceiving.
One more thing is that, you make your potential customers having to find out or ask what are the terms applied to enjoy this promotion. Why would you want your customers to go through all that hassle?
Yes you cannot deny the fact that customers demand their right, their convenience, quality & quantity. It's just the way it goes. We want to pay for value. We want convenience. Otherwise we would just stick to cooking at home, no?
Anyway, that was one thing.
What happened was this.
As we were looking at the menu to order, the wait person had no brains to even mention to us before we start making choices that in order to enjoy the 50% promotion, each meal (excluding kids' meals) has to be accompanied by a single.
And then they did not stated/mention that the 50% only applies to the meal, not the drinks. The drinks were just a mere term for customers to enjoy the promotion. Now you tell me. Deceiving? Yes I say.
You would probably say:
You should have asked to clarify.
I say:
Why should I? They should know how to explain to us. They should know that they should clearly state how the terms and promotion goes by. It is their job. If they can't even realize such a simple service approach, they should not be fit to open a restaurant.
But alright. That was just a small part and it wasn't really a big of a deal but I really think that it is still important for them to have more training and knowledge about these. I mean even when I head to McD, the girl/guy by the counter that takes my order would surely mention a certain promotion clearly to me. It just happened to me recently and it has happened to me before. Good service is as important as the need to shit and sleep.
So after a few minutes, our drinks & meals started arriving. And then a couple of minutes passed by. And then another couple of minutes passed by but my Dad's order still wasn't on the table. So wassup with that huh?
So what we did was we called for the wait person and told her that we still lacked one more meal which my Dad ordered. We even made it easier for her by mentioning which meal.
So she went to check on the meal.
AND YOU KNOW WHAT SHE TOLD US?????
"Erm, your last order, if you still want it we can prepare it now. Do you still want it?"
OMG!!!! THE BRAVERY!!!!

Can you believe it? I was so mortified. Seriously if I had a bad day, she would have received a mouthful from me. She, the chef & the manager (for hiring such sucky employees)
Yeah yeah. We're all humans; we make mistakes. I get it.
But the least you could do was apologize for your ignorance. (oh and probably your horrible speech as well)
In the end of course my Dad was pretty much annoyed so he dismissed her by saying that he did not want the dish anymore. Us 3 were pretty much small eaters anyway and we couldn't finish our portion. Arrggghh...
Made us order another drink just for the 3rd meal. (initially when we didn't know that each meal had to be accompanied by a drink, we only ordered 2 drinks. My Mum ordered a kid's meal so no promo entitled for that no matter what)
Plain shitty and ignorant.

After paying (with service charge included & I don't think thay deserve it), it was pouring pretty heavily outside. So my Dad went to get umbrellas for us. While we waited outside, the STUPID OWNER stand right beside us - SMOKING!!!!!!!
ASSHOLE things he is so cool. Service sucks like my shit. Now he has to smoke openly beside us. What the naffing ignorant brainless prick are you?

Honestly I don't give a shit if anyone wants to smoke or is a smoker. I know friends & family who do and it is seriously not my problem. I don't care really.
But if you become an inconsiderate bastard/bitch who smokes in public right in front of everyone who don't (especially where we are eating), then I have a damn problem for sure.
If you're so dumb, let me tell you that there's an explicit reason why people who don't smoke, don't smoke. Because we hate smoking; we don't like it. We simply don't find pleasure in it. We simply don't find it attractive that we are so addicted to it. So LOGICALLY, why the naff do we want to inhale your cigarette smoke?

So that's it. That place sucks so badly. That will be the first & the last.
NEVER dine there. It is SO not worth it. Without the promotion, you can get better service and food in Delicious, Secret Recipe, Charms, TGIF, Chilli's, etc.
Yeah some might be more pricey compared to the place but the difference isn't as big as how much stupidity some people have in them.

 I've tasted better Smoked Chicken Chop  Like I said, the food is not bad. This is delicious but not that awesome. So-so I would say. The meat is soft & just right.

Anyway yesterday was her birthday but that loony girl doesn't want to take any photos. Don't know wassup with her. Too much stress from SPM I guess. So anyhoo, I have photos of the food and boy do I have a big say about the restaurant. It was OMFG stupid!!!! Your blood pressure also can reach top to the max but that's another entire post altogether. Here is an update that was a week or so ago.
FORUM @ GRAND CONTINENTAL HOTELIt was the day after Halloween celebration. You know after all the fun & hype it was pretty hard to fall asleep because adrenaline is still pumping. And then the next day have to wake up a 6 in the morning. Total torture on my sleep. It was a whole day of talk & talk. The sessions were fine but the rest was such a bore. Imagine almost the whole day there sitting and having to listen. And some people just cannot stop talking. But it was a good experience la. Just to get bonus marks, you see us there. Hahaha. My dear, not everything can be out of personal volunteer. We're all humans after all. =p  Ooh.. me want to relax in the swimming pool. Oh and I wonder why it will always be around 4 or 5 in the evening that people would bring their children to play in the swimming pool?? It's always such a case. Hmmm...  In the hall, there were loads of drawings & paintings by children from as young as 8 or 9 years old. These kids have talent wei. Have a few favourites of my own. Now who says children are good for nothing??? If not good, they are better than some of YOU!     By the way, we found a Datuk & a Tan Sri on the event. We didn't know we knew each other. Hahaha... (k la so lame I know but whatever)  Double A Adrian & Ahmad  Nice group shot guys!!! *credits to .... MOI!!! =D* After the sessions and lunch, there was a final discussion for everyone back at the main hall. In between we both girls got so bored we decided to chill by the poolside and fiddled with the camera. You know us. ;-)  Steph   Somebody's acting so macho and all that day...  Somebody is so pretentious now...  Nah we don't cut out for emo so we change to funny but it simply wasn't enough so we decided to just plain ol smile. The traditional trick.  Posers with shades. Screw the previous post. It was just one of those bad moments.
So I thought I should update a lil before I dive back into a sea of work and hopefully not get drown. =p 1 thing at a time, baby.
Here are some random lunches with friends after single classes. I know so pathetic right. Go all the way just for 1 class that sometimes end after an hour.
There was once we had noodles but no photos. I also forgot the name of the shop. It is in Metroprima, Kepong and it is a relatively new shop.
Right after lunch we head over to the Hong Kong Dessert shop which I featured a while back when they had the worst menu ever which is everything in chinese. But this time, they changed the menu. Must be they heard our complains. Haha.
Yeah I didn't bring my camera so you cannot see the words on the menu. I used my crappy handphone's camera. The read bean pudding is a no-no. Don't try it. Not worth it.  These 3 would be the best among what we've tried. Well to me that is. The Taufu fa is really soft and is serve natural. So you can choose to add your own sugar for sweetness if you're not used to consuming taufu fa just like that without sugar. It's really nice.

Another lunch I had was with the girls at a chinese cuisine shop. I think it is called the Hong Kong Miu-Kai Dessert Restaurant (God I better be getting my facts right). Also in Metroprima, Kepong. But I have to say the food there is not satisfactory. We've made up our mind not to eat there for lunch already. Well, maybe they are known for their desserts not their food.
  Beverages:  Fresh Orange Juice & Jasmine Ice Tea Food:  Shanghai Spicy & Sour Noodle (not spicy at all & not distinguishly sour; a lil oily), I think thhat is the Nissin noodle with dumplings (daphne said it does not taste nice at all; Kathy said the dumpling tasted like the smell of someone FARTED!!); Glass Noodle (pretty much tasteless; I tasted it too); & the Shanghai Meat Noodle (salty!!!)

I wouldn't recommend this place. Now it seems perfectly clear why the restaurant was so quiet. At first we were the only ones in it. Later 2 more tables were sitted. Still, dreadfully quiet.

Next lunch was at the restaurant beside the above. Prince Cafe. Recommended. Food is good. Not awesomely the best but still good. They have chinese quisines to choose from, western, shanghai, japanese, thai, korean & i guess that's it. How can I remember every single thing on the menu. This is not a super chun food review and this is not a food blog.
The interior is lovely. I like the chairs because they are comfy with padded cushion. So it's like seating on the sofa. We sat by the glass with the water running down.
They have this big square displays of food & their logo which I think is pretty hilarious. If you know what I mean. =p
You can choose available games to play with each other.

 This is a non flash shot. She's suppose to look scary. FAIL! Big time! Well right now they have this promotion where you get 30% off if you dine at 3pm. And then there's also a promo where you can order any food from the menu and get to have a drink for only RM1. The drinks are Ying Yong, Coffee, Tea & Ice Lemon Tea.  The soup is nice. Not the best but better than at some places because there are chunks of mushrooms & it is creamy. Not tasteless too. Only RM2.50. Next to it is the Ying Yong while below are the ice lemon teas - hot & cold  And then we have the black paper noodle (no idea how it taste but no complain from friend), next is some soup noodle which is a salty one ( i think it is meant to be like that). The Chic Wing Cheese Baked Rice looks very delicious. There's a chicken wing in the dish. Hidden inside among the rice.  Peppermint Frappe & Choc Mint Ice Blended. The frappe is so thirst quenching and minty. But not the over hot mint. It is also thick. Nice. Same goes to the Choc Mint.  This is the Korean Noodle dish with chicken chop & kim chi. The kim chi is spicy and delicious. The chicken chop is nice and tasty. Taste like fried chicken. Rather oily though so if you're worried, don't take this. The noodle however is like those korean instant noodle.  Here we have the egg & ham sandwich & the cheese/ham sandwich. well they are sandwiches la. Nothing much to say. The bread is not burnt. The ham is not burnt. The cheese is sufficient. The egg is cooked well. So there be it. *** And finally we have another lunch at Pizza Hut near our college. Nothing to say about Pizza Hut la ok. Everyone knows how it is. To me it is getting suckier & suckier but we just wanted to eat some pizza & meatballs & spaghetti.  Kak Lik the poser  Calise  Me *very shy* hahahahahar  Daphne, Steph & Moi  Garlic bread - i think it is now butter bread from what I tasted  Why is the ice lemon tea so tangerine like in color?  Cheese stick  The watery and almost tasteless soup - i think this was chicken soup??  Garlicky Shaghetti - something new  Cheese baked chicken meat balls in massala - spicy  No idea what this is. lol  Stuffed Crust Thai Chicken And that's it for now. So many lunches; so little time; only so much a tummy can take I shall ciao now & have lunch right before I dive into work. DIVE November Thirdone of the suck-iest day ever is enough to sum it all up.
still am tired no matter how much rest i got during the weekends. it seems that these days i just cannot get enough of sleep. it's like no matter how much i rest or sleep, it won't be enough. the thought of being awake is just plain evil. the second i get up, i wish i never would. i wish to could sleep all day long and never wake up. is it wrong or weird to think so? like you don't want the world of being awake to exist.
not to mention i got my finger slammed by the table today. it's swollen already. and then i got my toe bang by the door and it's also swollen now. it hurts when i walk and the throbbing comes and goes. it sucks. i lost my appetite again. i did not eat breakfast & lunch. I only had a small piece of cake and a small portion of dinner and already I feel like puking my guts out. I don't even feel hungry. I feel sick in the stomach is more like it. Really really sick in the stomach.
that is why i can't focus at all to get my assignments done. nothing comes out - i can't think.

I've came so far now and now I don't know where I'm heading already. I feel lost. Like in a scary maze where there's no ending. everything is black and hazy. everyday is a struggle to fight of the constant fear. fear of anything; everything; something. perfectly lost.
it's like you climb all the way up to the rooftop of a 30 storey building just to be pushed down to death by something/someone. and then at the slightest faith of light, you get back a chance in life just to climb all the way up and get shoved and pushed down again.
it's frustrating to the point that it is exhausting. sometimes you just go - what's the damn point? what's the point of hanging onto a thin branch of the edge hoping that you gain the energy to pull yourself up to safety or someone would come and pull u up. why not just let go?
because there are people that are still putting their trust on us. because there are people who still have faith in us. i can't just let go without hurting these people. and that's the only thing that is keeping me from doing so.
what won't kill you will make you stronger? is that so? then why isn't strength here yet? why does it feel like internal murder gradually growing?
seriously, today is just not my day because today had to be the day where everything wraps around together into an enormous bubble that is about to burst but it can't.

For those who attended parties yesterday night, hope you guys had fun being scary & naughty. =) I'm pretty much sleep deprived!!! So tired. I need to sleep. All because I had to wake up so freaking early on a Sat morning & attend a forum. Nevertheless, I think my session was not bad. The opening ceremony was such a bore though. Anyhoo, enough of all that. I'm here to show you photos from my Grandma's recent 88th Birthday celebration. =D That was the reason why last weekend I was back in Malacca to celebrate her birthday. She was in such a good mood it was a breeze to bring her out. Below is the restaurant we went to: This is the side entrance. (not nice at all) The main entrance is over the to the corner on the left but I was too lazy to walk all the way and take the main entrance. =p I gotta say the main entrance looks very nice. 
Since she can hardly walk and she cannot travel far, we had to choose one that is nearby. She gets car-sick you see. No one wants to get sick right after a birthday celebration, no?

It would have been great if her other grandson, 5 granddaughters, 2 grandson-in-law, another son & wife plus another late son-in-law could be there. * On the way back, I was so lame I took a few shots of the carlights while the cars were passing by. Me likey:  * And you would think I would just had back home? Hahaha No way! I have so many older cousins with their own cars - time to have fun. At first I have absolutely no idea where we were heading until we finally reached the place. It's The Jetty in Malacca town. It is a new spot to hang out.  From the parking lot by the sea, you can see the long stretch of the jetty. There are restaurants, dessert cafes, karaoke, pool bar & etc. No wait I think that's all. I cannot remember. me and my memory. We walked all the way to the end to this outdoor hangout place where it is above the sea water overlooking the sea and the hotel & buildings over on land. There's the lower and upper deck where the upper deck has side bar stools. There's also a second storey. A small one that is but most people above would be the ones smoking and they would dump their cigarette buts into the sea water. Like what the heck!! First you gotta make others around you secondhand smokers and pollute the air. Then you gotta go and pollute the sea!!! Sheesh. Some people we have on Earth! Please keep the pollution to your own bodies kay.  An angle view from our spot. Me likey the mood of the setting with the lights. You can also feel the breeze. Nice!  This is yours truly but I was moving and talking so I practically look like a 3 headed ghost so I shall spare you all the scare. But the background around me is just superb. I didn't use the flash mode so that's why it is so easily blurred. plus if I use the flash, you won't get the real mood of the place.  Without flash; with white balance corrected. I prefer the first one.  The husband & wife *eh Sharon, why so shaky your hand???* =p  Our drinks! Some mango ice blended & sour plum ice blended, me thinks... So we hangout while chilling to the breeze, the atmosphere; chatting away till our drinks melt and were one the way down our throat. After that, we headed all the way back; walking the whole stretch back. You can choose not to walk if you're so lazy. But seriously, walking is better becz you if you don't, you won't get the right feel and it would be as awesome.   Kay like i said very hard to take without flash during this lighting especially without stg steady to support your hands. Nah I wouldn't want to explain why with all the camera terms. Basically your shutter speed and all. Can set want la. Haha. Sadly when I was about to take another one, the camera battery died on me. =( So gave up since Ash' hp cam was having some flash problems. 3 nights back it was a great dream but it was one that you couldn't really remember once u wake up. nevertheless there were bits & pieces of the picture still intact.

Anyhoo... I just got back from Malacca. It was pleasant to be away from the familiar; away from home. Away from the city. It was pleasant to go out to the town at night till midnight with my cousins. Well, photos will be up in Facebook soon. The reason why I went back was my Grandma's bday dinner. So u'll get to see my beloved grandma. ;-)

Right... where was I last time?
Aahhh... after the dinner and fooling around at the carpark, we all went to Mil Wheel. Ya I featured this place in a previous post before when I went out with the girls. This time we all went there because Marvin wanted to go there so badly after seeing the photos in Facebook. lol
 Btw, I like that ceiling light. I wonder where can I find one? In purple perhaps? For my soon to be purple colored room? Steph liked it too. What can I say. People with excellent taste! =p
And our orders:
The left is a chocolate cheese flavored. It is awesome. Love the combination. Deff a must try.
The right one is the Medium Tank which is Lychee & Watermelon. The greenish thing is a lil sourish which I suspect is green apple for some zest. Marvin & I love this. We heart watermelon. In between the lychee & watermelon is jelly which is partly frozen. *licks lips*
And then of course we had the Seventy of Chocolate & Lychee this time. YUMMY!! And not forgetting the Mango Ice Cake again (right)
Right after finishing the chilly dishes. We had another rounf od Seventy & the Medium Tank of Watermelon. That night, our pockets & wallets had a deep hole I tell you.
Of course with 3 cameras, we cannot waste the effort of bringing them along with us, no?

I didn't know after all this while they go both ways. Darren was excited as usual. And then Christy got into her character that she wanted to lick me!!! LICK!!!! But I went along with the idea since I go both ways too. Darren was so turned on that night. But in the end we told him we were just messing around. The 3 of us of course and so he went bonkers & a lil koo-koo after all that exposure. Sigh. So sad really.  Bday girl so happy she gave a peace sign to ya'al! And then there were random acts of nonsense from everyone; posing with spoons and butterflies and what not:  And then everyone started to act smart by putting on C's glasses. Afterall, some can only dream so much to look smart =p  Sigh. Seems like C had to exaggerate a lil with her fake hair-mustouche. Babe, you should consider having clear facial hair. Very you! lol  The dudes were so engrossed in snapping themselves some self-portraits with the glasses. Told ya we "don't camwhore"  Enough of self portraits and all, I bring you the LOVE we have for each other. We hearts each other with huge <3(s).  After much given love, we had wacky facial expressions and random lmao smiles:  *ignore Erisha's face pls*  Finally, when all the ice melted in our tummies, we had double shots with 2 cameras:   And that was all. All the cinderellas had to go home already with tummies filled, pockets empty & cameras exhausted. pssst: noone and nothing got injured in the process of all these "i don't camwhore" scenarios. TQBB psssst: yes i know the photos are all not consistent in size and pixel and stuff like tt because it was all from 3 different cameras & i used 2 different photo editors to do the collage to save time. teehee. variety baby variety... i bitch, i confess, i breathe... a night of KoreanNot one week I can go without assignments. That's for sure. Keeping up with dates is one thing. Once you forget, it will come back haunting. Take for example if I remember that somewhere in Nov I have this big-ass assignment due. So right now I'm at the middle of Oct. Instantly, I would lean one side towards procrastination. Then, tra la la la... all of a sudden I just realize every other Nov due papers are side by side. So then I go into stress cum rush mode to finish off what needs to be done. Once completed, it's back to the same cycle all over again.
Sheesh, seriously life is too short to be filled with only these. There needs to be something else or else there's no meaning. Speaking of which, I'm kinda getting the hang of running my other site. It revolves around what I love and feel passionate about. Other than that are the perks that come along. It is really fun to run the site; althought at times it can eat up a lot of time per day. But, nevertheless it's a joy. Maybe someday I shall host a bazaar. I need to find the time and place then. Aah, well. It's something to be said later on.

Last Saturday, us Tuna's had an early celebration for Amber's 19th birthday. We took the opportunity for a Tuna reunion as well. For those who don't know, Tuna is just a name we refer to when we talk about "us" as a group of friends. it's such a long story as to why & how we came up with this name but it was way back in high school. Aahh, all the memories.
Well. let's keep the "travel down to memory lane" some other day. This is the first part of photo. There were so many I decided to ignore some (already in Facebook anyway) & collage some.

 So anyway, I was waiting for Twins to come pick me up but they were late because they had to help their Mum out. So what else would I do but to cam whore. Afterall, cameras don't just drop from trees. You gotta make full use of it. (trying so hard to justify myself) Then around 7ish they came. We head down to Metroprima and went around & around looking for a place to dine. All of a sudden Darren had this craving for Korean food. So we called Kathy to ask if she knew any place nearby. And voila! We had Korean food for dinner at this Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant. We did not order the BBQ dishes because it didn't fit us student budgets. Thus, this is what we had:  I have no idea what tea is that thhat they serve but I like it =D It has this coffee-like after-taste. I can't describe; you just need to try it for yourself. And then came the appetizers (second photo on the right) which are nibbles of different kinds of food. It's complimentary. I think we had like 4 sets of it. They just came and came. Some of us got pretty bored of it. LOL The 3rd photo is the *i forgot what it's called* which is rice with eggs, crabsticks, & veges and stuff. Delicious! Then we had the Kim Chi large dish with lotsa everything in it. *receipt not we me so I cannot remember the names* The last photo on the left side is the other smaller dish with seafood in it. Then we had free watermelon, some barley like plus ginger drink after meals, & this pizza like dish which is so yummy. All in all it was a great and satisfying dinner.  Here are some shots of the restaurant. Every table had this pipe thing to suck up the hot steams from the food so the place wouldn't end up smoky. I love the chopsticks. Ya and I have a thing for long spoons. Haha. Some photos of us with the ambience/the place:   And then we had this friendly wait person who helped us took some group photos (btw, I think he has something for Christy lollers):   Once dinner was over, we head back to the Carrefour parking lot where we parked the cars. It was time to present the girl with her birthday present:  And then we cam whore with several candid shots that got us laughing like monkeys. Never fool around at parking lots because it's dangerous. You might get hit by a car passing by!!!!    Marvin with man-tits. He doesn't seem amused. More like: Eurgh where did I get these from? But not as bad as Christy's funny face above (last photo) which got us laughing so much. That was how she ended up with the Penelope nose thingie. LOL. 4 hours of sleep this afternoon and still not enough. Am rather tired. I can't seem to picture it. It wears me down. Oh boy it does. Anyhoo... Here are some photos from quite some time ago. Very random ones that is. Mind Games' Mini Fete. Theer's me there. See. Ya there. Playing a round of games. Sadly, I lost. =( pfft
 And then there's this little cafe near our KPD but we've never tried it out before because we know it's kinda pricey. But somehow; one day, Steph & I decided to try it out. The food that we tried was not bad to say the least. A lil pricey though. The Fig Tree  That's Iced Chocolate above. Steph had this. Let's just say it's chocolatey, not too sweet (for me), it's not too milky and not like those silly diluted choco drinks.  I had this Iced Latte. Love it love it. So refreshing and just enough caffeine to satisfy my craving. =)  As for the food, I had the above - Turkey Ham Cheese with toasted tortilla. You can choose which bread you want to go with it and decide whether to have it toasted or not. It is delicious. It has this marmalade thing in it which goes well with everything. Salad is fresh. Well I only took a small bite of a pretty small piece coz I ain't no salad person. Well not this. The one below is the Mushroom Cheese Burger. The burger is grilled and it is tasty but it's chicken breast so it's rather dry. Not what we both like it to be. Sick that at times you just feel you want back the times when you were so vulnerable and so young and small that Mum is the first word you call out for comfort. The medicine that cures. But Mum is not there for these things now. Because even the mother cannot help.
There's always this battle between your heart and your mind. Your brain starts it's process to bring your mind into a certain state. And then your heart starts it's own thoughts of ideas and feelings. The clashing is what so difficult to bear.

But in the end, we found our way. Everyone was already there waiting. Lol. Who knew it wasn't the birthday boy that was late but the other 4 guests. lollers
